2 Months

My baby is two months today! I really can't believe it! She is growing so fast. We went for her two month checkup and she is already 8lbs 12oz and 22.5 inches.The doctor also said we can start letting her sleep through the night (if she will) I have to say though it makes me a little nervous to not wake her up to eat at night. Any advice from all you experienced moms ( the millions who read my blog) to ease my fears? I am worried she will go too long without eating. I am sure she will let us know if she is hungry.

Christmas in Ocala

Addison had her first Christmas this weekend with her Great Grandparents. She ended up sleeping through the whole thing!! She should really enjoy it next year.

Little Yogi

Addison seems ready for our mommy and me yoga classes after the holidays.

 On a different note she is up to 8lbs already! I can't believe it. She is growing so fast and it makes me sad!! We had to say goodbye to the newborn clothes this week :(

Betty Crocker

Charles has been playing Betty Crocker the past few days. He decided he was going to bake Christmas cookies from scratch. These cookies have now taken 3 days to bake and we still have plenty of dough left. I guess we will be baking cookies for the rest of the week.

Orlando

Addison took her first trip to Orlando yesterday to visit her Aunties. She really loved Kimberly who is two and Kimberly seemed to love her just as much! I think these two will be playing together by next year.

Smiling

Addison has recently started smiling at us. It is by far the greatest thing ever!!! I have been trying to capture it for awhile now and I finally got it last night.



So sweet! This makes all of those crying spells last week worth it. :)



Little Miss Cranky

Sure she looks peaceful and sweet now, but for the past few days this child has tested every little bit of patience I have. Charles had to go to St. Louis to do some work and I thought it would be a fun girl's week for us. Wrong!! I am not sure what was wrong with her, but she cried for two days. I thought I might lose it at times between her crying and the dog wanting to go out. It was a rough few days without daddy.
We both sure are glad that he is home!!!

Best Friends

Well it only took a month, but it is official Jade now has a new friend. When we first brought Addison home Jade was afraid to come near her, but lately she has been getting closer to her she even wakes up with me in the middle of the night and sits with me in the nursery when I am feeding her. SO SWEET! I guess she figured she is here to stay. :) 

On a different note Addison is up to 6lbs and 8 ozs. She is gaining but still needs to get some more calories in her. So we are back to alternating breast and formula. I have been so upset over this formula thing for a while, but you do what you have to for your child! It is just hard to accept because I was really hoping to just breastfeed.

One Month

My baby is one month old today! I can't believe it. We are slowly getting adjusted.

We went to the doctor yesterday and Addison is up to 6lbs and 5 ozs. She is starting to outgrow her Preemie outfits.

Addison can't stand to have her hands wrapped up when she sleeps. She cracks me up because everytime I look over at her she is doing something funny with them.

You know it's true love when your sweet hubby is willing to give you a pedicure!!



He actually did a good job we may have to keep this tradition even after pregnancy.

On a different note still no baby I have tried everything! We have been walking everyday for at least 30 minutes, I have eaten just about everything they suggest and still nothing. I guess this child is going to come on her own time she doesn't need me rushing her!! I will keep you posted on any news!!

38 Weeks

Well I went back to the Doctor today and not much has changed since last week. I think this child is going to be more like her father and grandmother NEVER in a hurry to get anywhere she is definitely not like me!! I am so ready for her to arrive. I have eaten pineapple, eggplant, and so much spicy food that I have probably burned off all the taste buds on my tongue. Nothing has worked so far. I am still hoping for this weekend. We will see.

37 Weeks

So I went to the doctor yesterday and I was hoping to get some good news on my birthday, but she said nothing has changed!! I thought for sure I was getting closer so who knows how much longer it will be. I am still hoping for next weekend!!! Keep your fingers crossed.

Cramming

This is what I have been reading for the past few months. I have always pictured myself as a mother but now that it is here I am freaking out I won't know anything! So I have been doing some last minute cramming. I think I have read so many books at this point that I am now confusing myself.

3-D

I love everything Halloween so last night Charles came home with a bunch of scary movies for us to watch one being Friday the 13th in 3-D. Don't you just love the cheesy 80's horror films?

36 weeks

So I am now in my last month of pregnancy! It seems like it has gone by so fast. I can't complain too much though because up until a week or so ago I was feeling fine. I am just now getting to the point where I feel pregnant. The way I have felt the last few days I wouldn't be suprised if it happens very soon.

Ready or Not

Well the car seat has been installed, my bags are packed and Jade has been caught up on all her shots! I guess this means we are offically baby ready or as ready as we are going to be.

24-20

 It is not a good idea to watch football when you are 35 weeks pregnant. This game almost made me go into Labor early!!  I might not be able to watch Saturday's game against Florida.

34 Weeks

Not much longer!!!

We're Back

We had such a great time this weekend that I did not want to come home!! I was very sad to leave Longboat Key. This was the first time we had been there and I think we found a place we will go to often. It was so beautiful and peaceful there. There were no public beaches only private beaches. I have such a wonderful husband! He really went all out to make this pre baby vacation special!! Here are a few pictures from our trip.
